In the quiet (Before sleep)

It's hard to lose that person you once knew. The person who told you everything and would listen to what you had to say as well. That person you knew everything about, could guess their next move.
When that person leaves, you feel it. It doesn't feel like much in your hands, but you feel it inside of you like something just got ripped away without your consent. A piece of you missing only to get lost in the myriad of other things floating around in the dead space of the world.
What do you do? Do you look for it, that person, or do you just let it go and deal with the fact that it's not going to come back?
Maybe you lost something in yourself and you don't know how to get it back.
I suppose only time will tell.
The mind is a torturous thing to leave unattended for long periods of time.
